Registration opens June 1st at 12 pm at http://dallas-tx.tamu.edu/2017-4-h-summer-workshops/ Limited to 15 participants per session. Developing Skills in Clothing and Textiles will be held June 12th from 9-11 am at the Dallas County Extension Office. Participants will learn basic textile knowledge and clothing construction, create a community service textiles project, and be introduced to 4-H Clothing and Textiles Projects. Participants should bring a machine if they have one, any scrap fabric they have lying around, and items like buttons, zippers, trim, etc.

This workshop will give participants an introduction to Livestock projects. This workshop will also be offered on the 23rd. Limited to 15 participants per session.

Participants will learn basic, introductory foods and nutrition skills (measuring, chopping, etc) and be introduced to Foods and Nutrition 4-H projects.

Stephen Hudkins, CEA/Horticulture will discuss the diseases that are affecting our southern lawns and their control. The discussion will also include insects to be aware of in the coming months. He will also cover fall lawn care and maintenance. This two hour program will feature both in class instruction and examination of the turf plots at the Raincatcher's Garden.
