Master Wellness Volunteer Training
Master Wellness Volunteer Training
You can give back to the community while you learn how to improve your own health! Volunteers receive 40 hours of education related to wellness, nutrition, childhood health, food safety, healthy food preparation, public speaking and much more. Trainings are a mix of in-person instruction and online training. Cost of materials is $80 and due at beginning of first session. No refunds will be provided. Spring Into Vegetable Gardening
Steve Hudkins, County Extension Agent Horticulture and Master Gardener Program Coordinator and Jeff Rask, Horticulture Program Assistant will be presenting information on successful vegetable gardening. Included in the presentation will be information on construction and management of raised beds including raised bed soil, drip irrigation and square foot gardening. Topics will also include selection of vegetable varieties for North Texas and planting dates. You will have the opportunity to see actual raised beds and drip irrigation systems in place.
