Dallas County Master Gardener Speaker’s Bureau

Speakers Bureau

Dallas County Master Gardener Speakers Bureau is a volunteer arm of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.

Although there is no charge for speakers, donations are accepted in the form of honorariums. These are used to support the community projects of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Dallas County Master Gardeners.

Beginning September 1, 2015, a presentation request received from an organization or group meeting outside of the Dallas County boundaries is suggested to provide a travel allowance of $25. to be given directly to the speaker. This stipend is to be given directly to  the speaker and is not to be included in any honorarium given to the Dallas County Master Gardener Association.  Since Dallas County Master Gardener Speakers volunteer their time and funds to meet presentation needs within Dallas County, it is our feeling that Master Gardener volunteers giving presentations outside the county should not have to spend their own funds to do so. The acceptance of such travel allowance is at the discretion of each individual speaker. Although we appreciate your recognition of our outstanding speakers, we encourage you to contact your county’s Master Gardener Coordinator for assistance in scheduling presentations for your county.

Program Request Form

Please allow 3 weeks for us to arrange your speaker.  We will provide a confirmation form and the speaker will confirm the details a week or two before the presentations

Most talks are 45 – 60 minutes, however we may be able to accomodate other lengths. Some presentations use a laptop, projector and screen, while others involve demonstrations or use another format.  Our speakers can bring whatever they need.
