Steve Hudkins, CEA/Horticulture with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will provide all the latest information on fertilization, aireation, weed , disease and insect control and proper cultural practices at this free workshop . Hudkins will explain the cultural practices that will be necessary to maintain a beautiful lawn all year long. Dexter Payne, Certified Master Gardener and Licensed Irrigator will show you how to properly set your irrigation system for maximum efficiency and water conservation.

Updating The Home Landscape
What do I plant in the shade, what plants will save water and give me good color, what do you mean by an Earth-Kind(R) landscape? These and other timely tips on how to spruce up and modernize that landscape will be the topics of discussion. This free; session will be taught by horticultural specialist from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and Certified Master Gardeners at the Raincatcher's Texas A&M AgriLife Research, Education and Demonstration Gardens located at the Midway Hills Christian Church, 11001 Midway Road in Dallas.

Developing Skills in Clothing and Textiles will be held June 12th from 9-11 am at the Dallas County Extension Office. Participants will learn basic textile knowledge and clothing construction, create a community service textiles project, and be introduced to 4-H Clothing and Textiles Projects. Participants should bring a machine if they have one, any scrap fabric they have lying around, and items like buttons, zippers, trim, etc.
