Spring Into Gardening

Anyone can have a garden.  You only have a small lot?  Let Steve Hudkins, CEA/Horticulture and Jeff Raska, Horticultural Program Assistant,  provide the latest information on garden tips and varieties.  Topics will include Raised Beds, Square Foot Gardening, Patio and Pot Gardening and how to incorporate your vegetable plantings in your current home landscaping. Spring Lawn Care

Steve Hudkins, CEA/Horticulture with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will provide all the latest information on fertilization, aireation, weed , disease and insect control and proper cultural practices at this free workshop . Hudkins will explain the cultural practices that will be necessary to maintain a beautiful lawn all year long.  Dexter Payne, Certified Master Gardener and Licensed Irrigator will show you how to properly set your irrigation system for maximum efficiency and water conservation.

Updating The Home Landscape

What do I plant in the shade, what plants will save water and give me good color, what do you mean by an Earth-Kind(R) landscape?  These and other timely tips on how to spruce up and modernize that landscape will be the topics of discussion.
