Michael Cook, Viticulture Specialist with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, will discuss what needs to be done to prepare your young vines for dormancy and next season at this hands-on, in the vineyard workshop.  All are welcome. No Charge and NO RSVP is necessary.

  This course will cover methods to conserve water in your home landscape. Participants will learn about rain barrel construction, large cistern for home water use and drip irrigation systems. This will be a combination lecture and walking-tour of existing water conservation systems. This Course will cover recommended trees and shrubs  for the Dallas Metroplex and planting methods.  Shade tolerant perennials that do well in our Dallas metroplex will be discussed and results of the trials at Texas Discovery Gardens conducted by the Dallas County Master Gardeners will be presented.   This program is at the Dallas County Road and Bridge District 1 & Texas A&M AgriLife Extension/Dallas County Satellite office located at 715 Rowlett Road, Garland, TX 75040.
